An Evening at the Museum

This month’s speaker series is connected to our Carol Hubbard Memorial Natural History Exhibit: “The Secret Life of Trees”, created in partnership with PoCo Heritage Trees. Our speaker this month is Amanda Carr, the Director of Strategic Initiatives at Canopy.

Canopy works with the forest industry’s biggest customers and their suppliers to develop business solutions that protect these last frontier forests.

Amanda has presented to the United Nations on her work protecting Canada’s forests, as well as her conservation successes negotiating the Great Bear Rainforest Agreement, which to date protects over 7 million acres of rare coastal temperate rainforest

We are very excited to welcome Amanda Carr as our guest speaker, and we invite you all to attend her talk, “Trees Taking Root in Your Closet: Following the tread from fashion to conserving forests”.
